Privacy Policy
AgentChat Hub was built with privacy as a first principle. Here is exactly what we collect, what we don't, and why.
1. Who We Are
AgentChat Hub™ is an iOS application developed and maintained by Ananya Banerjee as an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains our data practices for the AgentChat Hub app available on the Apple App Store.

2. What Data We Collect
We collect absolutely nothing.
AgentChat Hub does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information whatsoever. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
Specifically, we do not collect any of the following:
- Names, email addresses, or any other contact information
- Device identifiers, IP addresses, or advertising IDs
- Location data of any kind
- Usage analytics, crash reports sent to us, or behavioral data
- The content of any conversation you have with any agent
- Your agent list, app settings, or session information
- Any payment or financial information
We have no servers that receive your personal data. We have no database of users. We cannot identify you, locate you, or contact you — because we have no information about you at all.
3. What Stays on Your Device
AgentChat Hub stores a small amount of data locally on your device to make the app function. This data never leaves your device and is never accessible to us. The four categories of local data are:
Agent list
The agents you have added or configured in the app, including any custom endpoint URLs and display names you have assigned.
Conversation history
The messages exchanged between you and your agents, stored locally so your history persists between sessions. This data is only on your device.
App settings
Your preferences such as theme choice, display options, and any customization you have applied within the app.
Anonymous session ID
A randomly generated identifier used only to maintain session state within the app. It is not tied to your identity and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
All of the above is stored using iOS standard local storage (UserDefaults and on-device databases). It is subject to Apple's own data protection and sandboxing guarantees, and it is deleted if you uninstall the app.
4. Camera and Photo Library
AgentChat Hub may request access to your device's camera and photo library solely to allow you to attach images to messages you send to an agent. This access is:
- Optional. You are never required to grant camera or photo access to use the app.
- On-demand only. The app requests permission at the moment you choose to attach an image — not at launch.
- Not stored by us. Images you attach are transmitted directly to the agent server you are communicating with. We do not intercept, store, cache, or receive copies of any image you share.
You can revoke camera or photo library access at any time in your iOS Settings under Privacy & Security.
5. Third-Party Agents
Important: When you connect to an agent through AgentChat Hub, you are communicating directly with a server operated by a third party. We have no access to, visibility into, or control over those communications.
AgentChat Hub acts as a client that lets you connect to agents that implement the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or compatible APIs. The operators of those agents — whether they are commercial AI providers, open-source projects, or servers you run yourself — have their own privacy policies and data practices.
Before connecting to any third-party agent, we encourage you to review that provider's privacy policy. We are not responsible for the data practices of third-party agent servers.
We do not maintain a directory of agents, and we have no visibility into which agents you connect to or what you discuss with them.
6. Children's Privacy
AgentChat Hub does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). Because we require no account creation and collect no personal data, there is no mechanism by which a child's information could be collected or stored by us.
The app contains no advertising, no in-app purchases tied to personal profiles, and no social features. It is safe for use by families.
7. Your Rights
Because we collect no personal data about you, most standard data rights requests (access, deletion, portability, correction) do not apply in the traditional sense — there is simply nothing we hold about you to act on.
That said, we want to be explicit for users in specific jurisdictions:
European Union (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and the right to object. Since we hold no personal data about you, there is no data to access, correct, or delete on our end. All data stored by the app resides on your own device and is under your direct control — you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings.

California (CCPA / CPRA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale. We do not collect personal information, we do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice within the app or on our website.
Because we collect no personal data, changes to this policy are unlikely to affect your privacy in any meaningful way. We are committed to maintaining our zero-data-collection approach as a core product principle, not just a legal obligation.
Continued use of AgentChat Hub after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
